OPENING COLECO TABLE TOPS

  1. Remove battery cover and batteries if installed
  2. Remove 3 Screws in bottom on unit located in picture below.
3. Remove 2 more screws located under the hood located in the picture Below
4. There are 2 final screw and they are hidden with the game upright use a safe pry tool to remove 
     the joystick buttons overlay take you time and be careful
5. Once you have remove the overlay there are the 2 final hidden Screws Located in the picture below
6. Now remove the hood, then take the top joystick and button cover off make sure you are careful and don't lose the springs that are located inside I suggest turning unit upside down when separation once you have all these pieces removed you should be left with the below pictured

This is my First Blog Ever I love arcade and all video game system i wanted to start a proper Forum/Blog that really helps others with real information that actually helps to Lead you the reader to a 100% Successful Repair. I hate seeing people wastes there time reading long boarding forums or watching YouTube videos that are 80% of the time useless information or just some on going on and on. SECTION 1
NO POWER
DONLEYKONG, FORGGER, GALAXIAN, PACMAN, MRS. PACMAN


1. Corrosion on the Battery Terminal

  • Take a wire brush and remove all the Corrosion possible if its rust use some WD40
  • If Corrosion is Blue/Green use same method above wear gloves and Eye Protection
  • Once Termail are Clean and Mostly Back to Original and Test
  • IF No Powering up Time to Open the Unit
2. Check Connections 
  • Open Unit (See my SECTION OPENING COLECO TABLE TOPS)
  • With battery's installed Check the Terminals and Check Voltage Should be 6.0V DC
  • Make sure Wire are connected to battery Terminals to Circuit board
  • Check Voltage is getting to the Circuit Board if not replace the wires
  • Look Over the entire Circuit board and look for bad Soldiering Joints
  • With Battery's Remove Check the switch and make Sure is has Continuity 
3 Checking Transistors
  • Check all Transistor on the board you may need to remove them to test properly
